What makes an engineer and planner the right person to open a chocolate and coffee shop? How can the President and Founder of Street Smarts (a planning, design and engineering firm) qualify to run such a place?
It started with a Nestle’s crunch bar when she was in Junior High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. Next it was Twinkies (when they were made from real sponge cake and sweet cream) when she was in High School. Later in life, it was the handmade chocolates at a little shop in Princeton, N.J.
Always an appreciation for something delicious – and always about quality.
For 25 years, Marsha has searched for the best and yummiest treats. And for almost as long, she has had a desire to bring that passion to life and share it and make it part of her community.
All these years later, the enthusiasm is still strong and the opportunity presented itself to bring delight to others by sharing he love of chocolate – it is a comfort food after all. The range of treats served at Chocolate Perks shows the range of delectables that tempt her every waking minute!!!
Beyond all of these “qualifications�, Marsha just loves people. Her involvement in Duluth on Fall Festival and City Council, chairing United Way in Gwinnett and serving numerous Boards is one way she shares that part of her heart.
Chocolate Perks is another way to say “I love you� to the community around her.
